Heather Adel · Memoir in Progress
My Muse Is a Fighter: A Memoir.
I spent years bracing for the next battle I never saw coming. Only later did I realize my story was about who I became each time I got back up.

Meet Heather
The fighter was within me all along
I am Heather Adel, and I am writing my first memoir, My Muse Is a Fighter. It is a story of rebuilding my life again and again, and discovering that the fighter I kept searching for had always been within me. I do not have an agent or publisher yet. For now, I am opening a small window into my writing and the life behind it.
A life worth fighting for
My daughters, a career I love, family and friendship. The things that make a life worth fighting for belong in this story, too.
Becoming, again and again
An unraveling marriage, bipolar disorder and multiple sclerosis are part of my life, but they are not the whole of who I am.
Room for love and laughter
Dark humor, everyday kindness and an unexpected second chance at love with Todd. Even a difficult chapter can hold something tender.
Words beyond the memoir.
